A former Army Drill Sergeant posted a scathing Facebook video last week where he gave his thoughts on overweight people — and he didn’t hold anything back.

John Burk starts out the video relatively tame. “Studies have shown that it is not okay to be overweight. There’s nothing good about it.” (RELATED: Report: A Third Of Young Adults Too Fat For Entrance Into Military

The rant has racked up more than 4.5 million views on Facebook.

His comments became increasingly more blunt: “So look, to the overweight people: No, I’m not going to accept you for who you are with that bullshit excuse of ‘you should love me because I’m beautiful.’ Your personality might be beautiful, but your body is NOT.”

Burk continued, and his remarks cut to the bone: “When I sit there and I look at somebody that’s overweight, no, I find that utterly repulsive and disgusting, why? Because it shows a lack of self discipline.”

“For most people, they try to come up with some bullshit excuse as to why they can be the way they are – because of sheer fucking laziness. That is the cold truth of it.”

Burk went on to call people who say “we should accept everybody” as enablers, watching overweight people eat themselves into an “early grave.”

“And the worst part of it all is this … I’ll watch somebody overweight come in that restaurant, and you know what I’m looking for right behind them? The children that are EXACTLY the same way.”

Burk goes on to call those parents with overweight children “too lazy to go out there and cook a fucking healthy meal.”

“You’re just simply fucking lazy. It requires some effort on your part to get up there and take an active role in your children’s life. That’s what’s called being a parent. Instead you’re gonna feed them shit – garbage after garbage after garbage.”

“You’re putting your children at risk for low self confidence when you feed them shit.”

“Hopefully somebody out there sees this damn video and says ‘I’ve had enough. I’m done with this. I’m gonna make a slow small change.'”

Burk goes on to encourage parents to shut down their children’s Xbox, computer, and video games and have them play outside. “Anything that will get them active and get them off the couch.”

“Do it for the sake of your children people.”

“This isn’t me trying to fat shame. This is me saying you need to change your life.”

“Get out there and get active.”
