Taylor Swift apologized to Nicki Minaj Thursday after the two got in a pubic disagreement over awards show nominations.
Swift noted in her apology that she “missed the point” of Minaj’s rant the previous day about not being nominated for MTV’s Video of the Year.
I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ

On Twitter, the rapper implied that her song “Anaconda” wasn’t nominated because she was black, and said that if she was a “different kind of artist,” it would have been.

Because her video “Bad Blood” was nominated for the award, Swift assumed Minaj’s tweets were about her, and told Minaj it was “unlike her to pit women against each other.”
Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13

She has since deleted the tweet. (RELATED: Taylor Swift Unfollows Nicki Minaj After She Blames ‘White Media’)
