Since When Is Burning A Confederate Flag Considered ‘Arson’?

Font Size:

We all know that the Confederate flag emits mind-control rays that make people do bad things. And we all know that the only way to stop these mind-control rays is to burn the Confederate flag. So why are we arresting people for stopping the evil mind-control rays?

Kassondra Cloos, The Gazette (Colorado Springs):

A Manitou Springs woman who organized a Confederate flag burning was arrested late Wednesday night on suspicion of arson, the Manitou Springs Police Department said in a press release issued Thursday.

Patricia Cameron, 32, who runs a southern Colorado news blog called thisissoco.com, was served and released after 11 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of fourth-degree arson for burning a Confederate flag under the pavilion in Soda Springs Park July 4…

Manitou Springs police say they strongly support people’s First Amendment rights, but want everyone to exercise them in a safe way.

Typical fascist doublespeak. The pigs are all for free speech… until people actually exercise it. Then it’s not “safe.”

Fortunately, someone captured video of the Constitutionally protected dissent:

I can’t make out what that dumb white hippie is babbling about over the beautiful flute music, but I don’t like his tone. He really needs to check his privilege and shut the hell up. How dare he tell a black person how to respond to systemic racism?

If setting a large blaze in an enclosed space full of people is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I would’ve been honored to get caught on fire by the destruction of that symbol of oppression. It’s the least I could do for my race’s crimes.

I stand with @ThisIsSoCO.
