Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum expressed his support Monday for putting a woman on America’s $20 bill.

“I think that’s certainly appropriate,” Santorum said at the Voters First Forum Monday evening in New Hampshire., noting the preponderance of women qualified for such an honor. “I have no problem putting them on currency.”

“Carly is a pretty good choice,” Santorum joked when asked which woman should get on the bill, referring to fellow presidential candidate Carly Fiorina.

Liberals have been strongly advocating for replacing Indian Wars veteran Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill in favor of some kind of woman to be named later.

Fourteen Republican candidates (minus Donald Trump) answered two rounds of specific questions at the forum, where Santorum made his case for stronger government commitment to the U.S. manufacturing sector. (RELATED: My Interview With Santorum).

Santorum said that his 2016 presidential campaign is already better than his 2012 run, because he gets to talk about issues instead of having to hear “You’re more conservative than Mitt Romney” as the summation of his candidacy.
