Go ahead, call Donald Trump a whiner. He’ll even agree with the characterization.

Appearing on CNN’s “New Day” Tuesday, the billionaire Republican presidential frontrunner was asked by host Chris Cuomo about a column by National Review editor Rich Lowry calling him a whiner. Cuomo explained that Lowry argued that Trump’s whining would get American in trouble if he actually made it into the Oval Office.

“Well, I think he is probably right, I am the most fabulous whiner,” Trump responded. “I do whine because I want to win. And I am not happy about not winning. And I am a whiner. And I’m a whiner and I keep whining and whining until I win. And I’m gonna win for the country and I’m going to make our country great again.”

Trump never actually explained exactly how being a world-class whiner would help him lead the country to greatness.

Dictionary.com defines a whiner as someone who “utter[s] a low, usually nasal, complaining cry or sound, as from uneasiness, discontent, peevishness, etc.” That’s an image that just screams “winner,” no?
