Josh Duggar admitted to being addicted to porn and cheating on his wife a day after the world found out he had an account on the cheating website Ashley Madison.

In a statement issued Thursday, Duggar said he was “the biggest hypocrite ever.”

“While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” Duggar said.

“I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.” (VIDEO: Josh Duggar Cracks Up Over Incest Joke He Made On TV)

He ended the statement by “humbly asking for forgiveness.”

Ashley Madison allows married people to easily connect with someone to cheat on their spouse with. After multiple threats, hackers dumped data online Monday, revealing the identities of 32 million Ashley Madison users.

Gawker then discovered that Duggar was one of them.

In the profile for his paid account, Duggar said he was seeking “conventional sex,” “one-night stands,” “someone I can teach,” “kissing,” and “cuddling and hugging,” among other interests.

Duggar resigned from the Family Research Council in May after police reports surfaced showing that he had molested several young girls as a teenager, including his own sisters. TLC later canceled the family’s show, “19 Kids and Counting.” (RELATED: Police Report: Sister Was 5 When Josh Duggar Molested Her)
