Rachel Dolezal suggested on social media earlier this week that she is pregnant, though it’s always tough to tell when the disgraced, white former president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP is telling the truth.
Dolezal, 37, posted, and then deleted, a photo on her Instagram account of three grizzly bear cubs with a caption that indicated that she was with child, according to the New York Daily News.
Dolezal’s biological son is 13. The 21-year-old she mentions in the post is her adopted brother who she oddly calls her son.
Dolezal has flown under the radar since she was outed in June as a white woman, despite claiming for years that she was black. The scandal forced her to resign from her job at the NAACP. Her contract as an adjunct professor at Eastern Washington University, where she taught Africana Studies, was also not renewed.

Dolezal’s biological parents — two white people who live in Montana — outed their daughter for lying about her race and claimed that she had perpetuated numerous other falsehoods.
Dolezal, who is now reportedly working as a part-time hairdresser, has claimed on numerous occasions to have been the target of hate crimes. No culprits have ever been apprehended. She was also allegedly behind allegations that in 2001 and 2002, her biological brother, Joshua Dolezal, an English professor at Iowa’s Central College, molested one of their adopted siblings, a girl born in Africa.
Charges were dropped against Dolezal last month for lack of evidence.
Dolezal has had other failed legal efforts. In 2002, she sued the historically-black Howard University for racial and gender discrimination because she was passed over for a job and a scholarship. She claimed that the school bypassed her because she was white.
It is unclear who the father of Dolezal’s child is, or whether he exists.
