Hillary Clinton apparently still thinks her use of a private email server is funny, despite coming under intense scrutiny for making two jokes about the ongoing scandal.
During a campaign event on Wednesday, the Democratic frontrunner was heard laughing heartily at a joke Sec. of Agriculture Tom Vilsack made about Clinton’s email server.
“You don’t have to wonder, you don’t have to ask yourself, you don’t have to worry about whether she’s tough enough to handle trumped up charges,” Vilsack said, seemingly referencing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Clinton can be heard off camera laughing loudly at the joke. The Republican National Committee circulated video of the remarks.
Last week Clinton came under fire when she responded to a question about whether she has wiped her email server clean by saying, “Like with a cloth or something?”
The week before, she said during a speech in Iowa that she had signed up for the social media site Snapchat, which automatically deletes messages.
“I love it — those messages disappear all by themselves,” Clinton said.
The FBI seized Clinton’s server after the Intelligence Community inspector general found two “top secret” emails had traversed the hardware. Clinton has denied she sent or received classified emails that were marked as such at the time.
