“Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough publicly thanked MSNBC news chief Andrew Lack for giving several liberal hosts the boot while re-organizing the network’s lineup.

SCARBOROUGH: It’s the part of the polls that scares me the most. They’re called “verbates.” It goes, “what’s the first thing you think of when you hear Joe Scarborough?” Then you have to sit there and read —

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: How’d you do? What were some of the worst?

SCARBOROUGH: “He works for MSNBC” was always the worst —

BRZEZINSKI: Oh, stop!

SCARBOROUGH: Not anymore though because things have changed. Thank you, Andy! Thank you, Andy! That was the past, but this is the now.

BRZEZINSKI: [laughs] oh, stop!

MSNBC announced they were moving Al Sharpton from his primetime, weekday lineup to Sunday. Additionally, the network canceled “The Cycle,” “Now with Alex Wagner” and “The Ed Show” with Ed Schultz back in July.
