The Democratic National Committee website doesn’t seem to be able to distinguish between Polish and U.S. veterans.

Veterans were proudly displayed on the “Veterans and Military Families” section of the DNC site in a photo, which showed President Barack Obama greeting vets in Warsaw back in 2011, Military Times reports.

The only problem is that the military uniforms are clearly European, and the White Eagle insignia clearly indicates a Polish origin, yet text on the site referred to the party’s “commitment to America’s veterans.”

That commitment seems odd in light of the fact that the DNC can’t differentiate between American and European servicemembers.

It’s likely that site administrators made the mistake because the original description of the photo from the White House only mentioned “veterans” without also mentioning a specific country.

Once informed, DNC officials quickly removed the photo.

“We thank Military Times for bringing this to our attention and have now fixed the photograph on our website,” DNC spokesman Eric Walker said in a statement.

“Whether it’s passing a new GI Bill, tax credits for hiring veterans, or reducing homelessness among veterans, the Democratic Party’s commitment to our nation’s heroes is unwavering.”

Instead of polish veterans, the new photo on the site shows veterans from the 2nd Ranger Infantry Company—definitely U.S. veterans this time.
