Letting sites like Ezzy Klein‘s Vox.com and Media Matters determine what we say and how we say it seems like a really idiotic idea.

Just as dumb?

The latest “culture” idea from the brain of Todd VanDerWerff, who deserves at least some sympathy for having to endure adolescence with a name like that. Could’ve been worse. VanDerSniff is also not a great name. Let’s be honest — VanDer[Insert anything here] is rough.

But I digress.

VanDerSniff’s really ridiculous idea involves eliminating any usage of the term “binge-watch.”

I haven’t heard anything this awful since last week when Carlos Maza of Media Matters insisted that journalists must follow media rules created by GLAAD to cover transgenders.

VanDerSniff’s idea is really thoughtful. Some people might be traumatized by binge-watch because they binge on other things like Chop Suey, crack, alcohol, Donald Trump phone interviews on “Morning Joe,” or what have you.

Great idea, VanDerWerff. Keep them coming.

And I’m actually serious. I need to know what other brilliant thoughts you have rolling around in that noggin of yours.

I’d also like to know what it feels like to sit in a Vox.com editorial meeting. But one thing at a time.

I’m off to BINGE-WATCH something just to be offensive.
