Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley doesn’t have many endorsements for president under his belt. But he’s taking full advantage of one he received more than five years ago from Hillary Clinton.

In a fundraising email sent to supporters on Tuesday, O’Malley pointed to an email then-Sec. of State Clinton sent in April 2010 to Maryland U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski in which she said that he “should be reelected by acclamation” for his leadership.

“We made progress where it counts, and I’m happy to see Secretary of Clinton thought so, too,” O’Malley wrote in the fundraising pitch, repeating his call for more debates ahead of the Democratic primaries.

Clinton’s email to Mikulski was among the more than 7,000 pages of work-related emails released Monday by the State Department.
