Melissa Rivers Scatters Her Mother’s Ashes

Melissa Rivers finally found a place to pay tribute to her mother.

Joan’s daughter said she and her 14-year-old son Cooper scattered her mother’s ashes while vacationing in Wyoming last month.

“Coop and I took our annual family vacation to Wyoming,” Rivers said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “[The] first without my mom and scattered some of her ashes there so we can still be together every August as a family.” (RELATED: Ben Stiller: I Never Got To Make Peace With Joan Rivers)

Joan died almost a year ago after a routine medical procedure went awry, and Melissa said she will spend the one-year anniversary quietly.

“Everyone expects me to have this big grand plan for the 4th and I am just going to be spending it with my son,” Rivers said. “He [Cooper] is going to go to school, I am going to go to work and come home and light a candle and have a glass of wine.” (RELATED: Melissa Rivers: ‘Kathy Griffin S*** All Over My Mother’s Legacy’)

“I think the most important thing is that Cooper is OK. For my mother, that would be the most important thing this year, that Cooper is OK.
