The Secret Service allegedly took down anti-big government signs before a Hillary Clinton event at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee last week, Campus Reform reports.

Students of UW-Milwaukee’s Young Americans for Liberty hung up signs that read “Big Government Sucks” in their office windows positioned directly where Clinton would be featured. The office was locked at 12:30 p.m., but YAL members noticed the pro-liberty signs were missing at 1 p.m. The UW-Milwaukee signs, however, remained.

Tom Luljak, a UWM spokesman, told Campus Reform that “the Secret Service requested that we remove all signage from the windows except for the UWM signs. When the Secret Service says they want something done for security purposes, we pretty much accept that.” (RELATED: Hillary Visits College, Puts ‘Everyday Iowans’ On Lockdown)

Campus Reform reached out for comment from the Secret Service, but the Secret Service could not confirm that an order was ever given to take down the pro-liberty signs while leaving up UW-Milwaukee signs.

YAL member Morgan Paradis asked a woman in the office of student involvement who took the signs down, but there was no clear answer given, according to Campus Reform.
