Breitbart News Is All Morally Offended That Reporters Didn’t Stand For National Anthem

It’s so funny what passes for morals these days.

Breitbart News is appalled that the bulk of reporters covering Wednesday night’s GOP presidential debate in Simi Valley, Calif. did not rise to the occasion in the press room when the national anthem was being sung.

First of all, since when is a goofy FIVE-HOUR presidential debate shown in two parts — first part: losers, second part, supposed winners, losers and everything in between — worthy of the inclusion of a national pastime typically seen at national baseball games?

According to Breitbart News, Breitbart‘s own reporters were the least offensive ones there since they stood for the anthem. “Breitbart News reporters did stand as the National Anthem played through the speakers,” writer Alex Swoyer bragged (let’s hope she was standing during this spellbinding observation).

In a real bitch move, Slate‘s Yesha Callahan called out WaPo‘s Helena Andrews earlier in the year for texting her way through the anthem during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. At the time, Andrews felt the need to defend herself, saying, “Apparently someone saw me on TV ‘texting’ during the dinner. FTR I was taking notes. On my phone. Because it’s 2015. #WHCD.”

Breitbart News even “captured” a video of the moral failures that make up the press corps.

And yes, The Mirror is being sarcastic.
