For one of the final questions in Wednesday’s GOP debate, CNN asked candidates what their Secret Service codename would be, and Chris Christie’s answer has earned the official “Care Bear” stamp of approval.
Christie’s chosen nickname, “True Heart,” also happens to be the name of one of the Care Bears from the series’ original run back in in the 80s. While Christie probably — although possibly — didn’t intend to portray himself as a beloved kids’ show character, Care Bears’ licensing company told TMZ that they welcomed the comparison.
Apparently, Christie and “True Heart” have plenty in common. They’re both, “kind, affectionate, attentive and obviously, very huggable!”
