Vox Explains Which Religion The Pope Believes In

Vox is a really terrific website that specializes in something they call “explanatory journalism.” This consists of two main elements: 1) Getting basic facts wrong, and 2) Telling you things you already knew, but apparently they didn’t.

Here’s an example of the latter:

This is right up there with another classic Vox headline, “Bears: The Place Where They Defecate May Surprise You.”
