Mark Wahlberg served as the master of ceremonies at the World Meeting of Families for Pope Francis’s visit, and he didn’t waste any time before slipping in a joke about his film franchise “Ted.”

According to Fox News a member of the Keystone State Boychoir told Wahlberg after their performance on the stage that he was a fan of the raunchy comedies about a talking teddy bear.

Wahlberg took to the microphone in front of the Pope and said, “He whispered in my ear that he liked the movie ‘Ted.’ I told him that was not appropriate for his age. Holy Father, please forgive me.” (RELATED: Mark Wahlberg To Produce Boston Marathon Bombing Movie)

The ceremony included other famous people like Aretha Franklin, Andrea Bocelli, and The Fray.

The Keystone State Boychoir presented Pope Francis with a rock from Antartica as a gift.
