It was a bad day for the Texas Longhorns after losing to Texas Christian University 50-7, but it was a worse day for Texas freshman cornerback Kris Boyd. Down 37-0 during halftime, Boyd retweeted a tweet from a Texas A&M fan telling Boyd that Texas A&M is ready for him if he wants to transfer.
Now that’s a halftime adjustment: A Texas player IN THIS GAME retweeted about transferring at halftime. Wow. pic.twitter.com/06x71XUl6v

Boyd chose to play for Texas over Texas A&M coming out of high school. The tweet has since been deleted, and Texas coach Charlie Strong said in the post-game press conference that that, “They should never be on their phone at halftime,” according to ESPN.
Boyd wasn’t the only person tweeting their displeasure during the game. Somebody tweeted from the Texas Rangers official Twitter account that the Texas coach should be fired. That tweet has also since been deleted.
