Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for a celebration that he claims was cleared by someone in the NFL office.

After a pick-six against Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston early in Sunday’s game, Norman celebrated by galloping threw the end zone, pretending to ride on the football.

He was then flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for using the ball as a prop in his celebration dance.

“He said I was fine,” said Norman to ESPN, about Derrick Brooks, an NFL fines officer. “If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have never did it.”

Norman is off to a career year, leading the NFL in interceptions. His Panthers are 4-0.
