Jim Carrey’s former girlfriend who committed suicide at the end of September was legally married to another man.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office confirmed that Cathriona White’s body will be released to her next of kin, and the person listed is her husband.
A source close to the 28-year-old said White was separated from her husband and planned to file for divorce in December.

“Jim would have never gone out with her if she was still married,” the source told E! News.
Police responded to an emergency call in Los Angeles after two friends went to check on Cathriona White and found her body. Authorities believe White died from an overdose because there were pills of Percocet, Ambien and a blood-pressure medication next to her.
A few days later it was reported that the pills White took were prescribed to Carrey, “but he was unaware she took them from him.”
