Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee plans to tour the U.S.-Mexico border in California this weekend, The Daily Caller has learned.

Huckabee, who talks about the issue of illegal immigration on the campaign trail, will visit the border on Saturday near San Diego.

The former Arkansas governor will be accompanied by former Rep. Duncan Hunter, the former chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and officials with the National Border Patrol Council.

The tour, starting at the Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station Region, will run from the Pacific Ocean to the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Huckabee and Hunter plan to address the media afterwards.

Other candidates, like Donald Trump, Jeb Bush and Ben Carson, have taken trips to the border during the campaign.
