Joe Scarborough says, “it’s hard to imagine any establishment candidates who wouldn’t already be crowned presumptive Republican nominee if they had half the success of Donald Trump has got at this stage of the campaign.”

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday, Scarborough insisted “all these comparisons with Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry from four years ago, are absolutely preposterous.”

Scarborough said, “None of those candidates, in fact very few candidates in modern Republican history have been so dominant in such a crowded field as Donald Trump is this year.”

“Look at the early states, look at his massive lead in South Carolina, his massive leads in the deep south where they go next after South Carolina. His big double digit leads in New Hampshire. His big leads in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Iowa.”

Trump has led every single major national poll for 100 straight days.

Scarborough explained, “It’s hard to imagine any establishment candidates who wouldn’t already be crowned presumptive Republican nominee if they had half the success of Donald Trump has got at this stage of the campaign.”

According to the latest Bloomberg Politics/Saint Anselm College Poll, Trump is leading New Hampshire 24 percent to Ben Carson’s 17 percent with Jeb Bush in third at 10 percent. The poll also finds voters believing Trump is the “most ready to be president,” as well as the “the most authentic candidate,” and the “most ready to handle Vladimir Putin.”
