Apparently, Reps [crscore]Adam Schiff[/crscore] (D-CA) and [crscore]Steve Israel[/crscore] (D-NY) had placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the National League Division Series.
As we all know, Israel’s New York Mets knocked off Schiff’s Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS — eventually going on to sweep the Cubs and advance to the World Series this past week — and Schiff honored the bet by singing New York’s fight song, “Meet the Mets,” on the House floor Friday.
