During a Friday speech at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum President Barack Obama compared Republican presidential candidates to the world famous internet meme “grumpy cat” for their negative rhetoric.
“It does make you wonder why are Republican politicians so down on America. Have you noticed that? I mean, they are — they are gloomy. They’re like Grumpy Cat,” President Obama said as he imitated the meme as the crowded laughed, according to CNN.

President Obama also stopped just short of making an endorsement as the crowd anxiously waited during the speech, saying, “I’m going to be supporting … whoever the nominee is.”
