Republican front-runner Donald Trump trashed the Obama administration’s foreign policy — specifically that of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — at a New Hampshire town hall Monday morning.
According to The Hill, Trump warned the crowd that if we don’t stop fighting countries “so women don’t have to wear” burkas, then we will lose “our own freedom pretty soon.”
TRUMP: Look at Libya. Hey! Would we be better off — as an example in Iraq — What are we doing? … We want to give people freedom? We’re not going to have our own freedom pretty soon if we keep doing this… They don’t want freedom… I saw someone say — I’m not going to say who because it’s embarrassing — ‘we want it over there so the women don’t have to wear the you know what’ … Then I saw women interviewed and they said ‘we want to wear them. We’ve worn them for thousands of years’ … They want to. What the hell are we getting involved for? The fact is it’s easier. You don’t have to put on makeup.
