Stunning body cam video footage surfaced of an Oklahoma police officer firing shots at a stolen vehicle as the driver attempts to run him down.

The Sand Springs police department was notified of a stolen vehicle on Friday, which led to the subsequent car chase, according to ABC News. Sand Springs police officer Matt Stacy got out of his vehicle to stop Stacy Ann Bunsey, who was driving the stolen vehicle. Instead of complying, Bunsey accelerates the car, and attempts to run Stacy over.

The officer then opens fire on the stolen vehicle moments before it smashes into a cop car.

Sand Springs Deputy Chief of Police Mike Carter said in a press release according to ABC News, “It was approximately three seconds after standing up outside his vehicle that the suspect rammed his patrol unit. When the officer saw that the suspect was coming at him, he abandoned the plan to retrieve the tire spikes and instead drew his weapon, not knowing of the suspect’s intention to hurt or kill him.”

Bunsey was arrested and is now facing charges of assaulting a police officer, eluding a police officer, driving under the influence, possession of a stolen vehicle and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest, ABC News reported.
