MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said Thursday that Ben Carson “just doesn’t sound completely connected with everything.”
The “Morning Joe” host exclaimed, “He tried to kill his mother for God’s sake! Are we missing something here?”
Brzezinski prefaced her statement saying, “And I understand the point of view from which I’m speaking. And I’m trying to take that into consideration — obviously the viewer is as well,” acknowledging that she, as a liberal could be biased against Carson.
“But he tried to kill his mother for God’s sake! Are we missing something here? I don’t understand sometimes when you almost seem to be defending the indefensible,” claimed Brzezinski. “I mean, we have been listening to this man talk in a flat monotone tone about taking a hammer to his mother’s head.”
“And I understand it was part of his process of finding his faith, but … are we to be a little disturbed by even the way he describes these situations? … I want to be very careful with my words, but he just doesn’t sound completely connected with everything,” said Brzezinski.
