A woman fainted during a Hillary Clinton campaign event in Tennessee on Friday, and the Democratic presidential candidate turned it into a joke about Republicans.
Clinton was giving her standard campaign stump speech when she paused to note that someone had fainted in the crowd.
“Somebody fainted? Somebody fainted over there? Can we get them some water, some help?”
“Get somebody over there. Let me know if you need any — is there somebody here who can help? We want to make sure we take care of the lady who fainted,” she asked to applause.
“I thought it was the talk of Republicans that might have done it,” she joked.
It is unclear why the woman in the crowd fainted or if she is OK.
