Jeb Bush said, “I’m not sure I would have gone to the climate summit if I was president today.”
At a campaign stop in Waterloo, Iowa, on Tuesday, Bush was asked about the agenda of the Paris summit on climate change and said, “I worry about the economic impact for our country” the agenda would levy on Americans. (RELATED: Obama On ISIS: ‘Climate Change Affects All Trends’ [VIDEO])
According to Bush, the “proposals could have an impact on the here and now of people that are really struggling right now so I’d be uncertain whether I would attend a meeting like that.”
Adding the Paris agreement “seems like the movement is towards policies that will hurt our economy.”
