The first trailer for the highly anticipated upcoming film “Independence Day: Resurgence” has finally been released, and the film looks extremely explosive.
The trailer, which was released Sunday, shows that the film takes place 20 years after the original “Independence Day” starring Will Smith. Smith isn’t in the new film, but Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman both reprise their roles. Newcomer Liam Hemsworth will be the new lead in the Roland Emmerich directed action-packed film.
The film centers on a new alien attack from space according to the film’s IMDB page. It is scheduled to be released June 24, 2016.
