Former South Carolina football star Marcus Lattimore took victims of the horrific floods in South Carolina on a holiday shopping spree.

Lattimore took 25 kids from Georgetown County to Wal-Mart, and gave them all a $120 gift card to choose out some gifts. Every child also received a free pair of Under Armour shoes according to Bleacher Report.

“It’s still amazing to me, the impact that I do have. It’s something that I don’t take lightly at all. I don’t take it for granted, and every opportunity I have to meet a kid that looks up to me in any kind of way, I’m going to take that opportunity because I know it’s going to help them,” Lattimore told Greenville’s NBC affiliate WYFF News 4. Lattimore was a superstar for the Gamecocks, but his career came to an abrupt and unfortunate end after two knee injuries. The former college star tried to make it in the NFL, but decided it was a better choice to simply retire. It appears by all accounts that he has been using his time since retirement to help those in need.
