A Texas Grand Jury indicted three individuals Monday for dealing meth which might have been supplied by a Mexican cartel.

The indictments came as a result of a sting operation by the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. The three individuals, Vanessa Tijerina, Marcos Martinez-Urioste, and Jaime Leaton, were charged with “possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.”

All three of the indicted individuals had been arrested for drug related crimes in the past.

The narcotics division of the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office followed the three criminals to a motel. Once a search warrant was obtained, the authorities confronted the three drug dealers in their motel room, where more than one pound of meth was found.

According to Texas state law, the three individuals could spend life behind bars, because of the first degree felony charges they face. Bond has been set at $75,000.
