Despite what critics say, Ivanka Trump believes her father is “one of the great advocates for women.”

The Republican front-runner’s daughter is featured on the cover of February’s “Town and Country” magazine, and in her interview, Ivanka said it’s clear that Donald Trump respects women.

“He 100 percent believes in equality of gender,” Ivanka said. “He has been a great example to me my whole life [and has] confidence in women to do any job that a man can do, and my whole life has been proof of that.”

“If he didn’t feel that women were as competent as men, I would be relegated to some role subordinate to my brothers. I think this is one of his great strengths: He fully prioritizes merit and accomplishment and skill and ability over background, education, and gender.” (RELATED: Ivanka Trump Pregnant With Her Third Child)

Ivanka is the executive vice president at the Trump Organization, and she said she definitely considers her father a feminist.

Ivanka said her dad has “confidence in women to do any job that a man can do, and my whole life has been proof of that.”

But would Trump call himself a feminist?

“You’d have to ask him that.” (SLIDESHOW: Do You Vanka Trump? We Vanka Trump. Ivanka Trump!)
