Sean Penn Blabbed About El Chapo Interview In Hollywood Bar

Sean Penn couldn’t help but gab about his interview with  Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman in a Hollywood hot spot before it was published last Saturday.

The 55-year-old actor went to Mexico in October to meet with Guzman, the notorious drug lord who was on the run after he escaped from a Mexican prison in July. (RELATED: Hollywood Actor Secretly Met With El Chapo Months Before His Arrest)

But according to a new report from Page Six, Penn couldn’t keep it a secret.

“He was running around like Woodward and Bernstein at the Washington Post, strategizing as much as possible, even before the El Chapo story broke,” a spy said. “They were loudly talking about El Chapo. Everyone was thinking, ‘Is that his next project?’ Then, the story hit.” (RELATED: Sean Penn: ‘I’ve Got Nothing To Hide’)

“It was like Bad Journalism 101 — they’re meeting in the middle of the Polo Lounge and talking so loud,” the source added.
