MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough said that the Democratic National Committee’s decision to limit the number of debates to help Hillary Clinton has “blown up in their face.”
“It was helping Hillary, they thought, and this is a classic, a classic — I mean, this is a prevent defense, they made a mistake, and it’s blown up in their face,” Scarborough said Thursday. (VIDEO: Brzezinski: DNC, Hillary Campaign ‘Screwed’ Themselves By Limiting Debates)
“Now we have to turn to the Democratic side, because the great irony is it seems, today, that if there’s a nomination more likely to be locked up quickly, it could be the Republican nomination [for Trump], and Democrats could be scrapping into the spring. I’ve been talking to so many supporters of Hillary, so many Democrats over the past week and a half, and they’re just shaking their heads, saying they don’t know what’s going on, they don’t know what’s wrong with Hillary, and that Bernie Sanders cannot be the nominee of our party,” Scarborough said. “They are now kind of going through what the Republicans have been going through for six months.”
