David Alexrod says Hillary Clinton contradicted herself during Monday’s Democratic town hall by claiming her use of a private email server while secretary of state was not a mistake in judgment.

Appearing on CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday, the former advisor to Barack Obama acknowledged that Clinton is still “having trouble with that question.” (RELATED: Hillary Defiant About Emails: ‘Nothing That I Did Was Wrong’ [VIDEO])

Alexrod claimed that during Monday night’s Democratic town hall on CNN, Clinton “made the case which I think is her core argument that she is a tenacious fighter who knows how to navigate the system and produce change and that’s really the core of — I think she did a good job of getting that across last night.” (RELATED: Mika Brzezinski Criticizes Hillary For Talking Out Of Both Sides Of Her Mouth About Wall Street [VIDEO])

However, Alexrod said, “If there was one problem… I thought that on Chris’s question about the emails when she said that she, that it wasn’t a mistake in judgment, it wasn’t an error in judgment, kind of contradicts what she said in September where she called it a mistake and apologized for it.” (RELATED: Reverses Course, Finally Says She’s Sorry For Using Personal Email [VIDEO])
