CNN is reporting that Politico’s CEO Jim VandeHei, Playbook curator Mike Allen and COO Kim Kingsley are leaving the publication.

VandeHei and Allen are expected to stay through the 2016 election. However, Kingsley’s last day is not known. The Huffington Post is reporting that chief revenue officer Roy Schwartz and executive vice president Danielle Jones are also expected to leave.

Politico’s publisher Robert Allibritton confirmed in a memo that VandeHei, Allen, and Schwartz will remain with the company until after the election. Kingsley will be with Politico until early summer and Jones plans to leave before then.

CNN is reporting that VandeHei and Politico publisher Robert Allbritton have had disagreements over the direction of the company.

According to sources, VandeHei did not agree with the financial direction Allibritton wanted to take Politico. VandeHei had costly plans and Allibritton wanted to rein him in.
