During a Sunday interview on Fox News, Ben Carson said that the only thing that could stop him from attending the New Hampshire primary is death.
“The numbers show that you have lost your evangelical support or a lot of them to [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore],” Brian Kilmeade noted to Carson. “Is that how you see it?”
“I think a lot of people have shifted, but I think of a lot of those people are in the process of shifting back,” answered Carson. “I think there’s going to be a pretty big surprise tomorrow.”
Later in the interview, Kilmeade asked, “is there any scenario, Dr. Carson, where you won’t go on to New Hampshire?”
“Yes,” responded the former neurosurgeon. “If I die.”
