Homs used to be the third largest city in Syria, but the past five years have not been kind.
Once a population center of over one million, Homs has been ravaged by the Islamic State, the Syrian government and various other rebel groups since 2011.
According to Huffington Post, Russian production company “Russia Works” recently used a team of drones to capture flyover-footage of Homs in 2016, and with the exception of one car and a few young boys, the former proud city is a silent ghost town.
