Ohio governor John Kasich, who is running for president as a Republican was asked by an undecided voter why she should support him in the New Hampshire primary over Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.

Monday in Windham, New Hampshire, when he heard that she was deciding between Clinton, Sanders, and himself, Kasich replied, “Well isn’t that interesting.”

Kasich then asked, “Now, here’s the thing, how do I get you over?”

She then asked, “Why should I vote for you in the Democratic primary tomorrow?”

The Ohio Republican replied, “Well, I’ll tell you, the grounds on which I might favor one of them. And that is only favor them in one aspect. I am for Bernie being president — of Ben and Jerry’s. And as a result of that, I want them to give us free ice cream. I mean, if we can get free everything, what about free ice cream.”

“Look, here’s the thing, you know what, I’m an independent guy, nobody tells me what to do but I’m not way out here. I mean, Bernie’s a socialist,” he continued. “That ain’t going to happen. I mean, it’s just not going to happen. We’re not going to tax people 95 percent. I’m not trashing Bernie, I’m just telling you that’s just not going to happen.”

“The problem with Hillary is this: what’s the latest poll say? What’s the latest focus group? Okay, so Keystone Pipeline, well I can make the environmentalists happy or I can make them angry or I can get the AFL-CIO happy and call the pollsters, what are they saying,” Kasich said, mocking Clinton.

“We can’t run America with pollsters,” Kasich insisted. “You know… I’m convinced God created pollsters to make astrologers look accurate… The fact is, is that you want somebody that’s going to bring dramatic change.”
