MANCHESTER, N.H. — A scuffle between Rubio supporters and a protester in robot costume erupted Tuesday morning outside a polling site. A near stampede of campaign supporters, protesters and reporters greeted Florida Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] at the polling location as the senator walked off his campaign bus.

Rubio waved to his supporters, who loudly chanted “Marco,” and walked up a snow-covered hill toward them. Protesters, TV cameras, reporters, and Marco Rubio sign-wavers followed him close behind. Rubio protesters concurrently screamed “robot” to Rubio just as loudly.

As the crowd crushed up around Rubio, one Rubio protester, dressed as a robot, found himself in a shoving contest with an Rubio supporter holding an extra large banner. Another individual, dressed as a robot, wore a large box around his body and fell down the hill amid the throng of people.

“I feel great,” Rubio said. “I’m glad to be here today. I feel real good. I feel like we’re coming on strong.” He added that his expectations are “to get as many delegates as we can.”

Poll site moderators, who appeared explicitly frustrated by the number of people crowded around the site, came outside to clear the sidewalks so voters could walk inside and cast their ballots.
