Ashley Graham is the first plus size woman to be featured on the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
The 28-year-old brunette model announced the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday alongside a photo of her in a purple two-piece swimsuit.
“Thank you to everyone who stood up for curves,” Graham wrote. “Our voices were heard and together we can help me win Rookie of the Year.”

She is one of several swimsuit rookies vying to be named “Rookie of the Year,” an award that Kelly Rohrbach took home last year.
