New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller was ejected Tuesday night after throwing punches with taped-up hands.
Miller dropped the gloves against Sergey Kalinin of the New Jersey Devils, and they began trading punches. While fighting is generally acceptable in the NHL, fighting with tape over your knuckles is prohibited, according to USA Today. The refs attempted to actually stop this fight before it started, which is highly unusual, but they eventually just had to wait for it to burn out. (SLIDESHOW: Celebrate The Anniversary Of The ‘Miracle On Ice’ With These Historic Pictures)
