Hey, remember when TX Gov. Rick Perry was charged with a felony for vetoing a bill? Well, that’s all over now.

Alex Pfeiffer reports:

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out the second and final felony charge levied against former Gov. Rick Perry on Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.

Perry was charged with coercion of a public official and abuse-of-power back in August 2014. The charges stem from the former Texas governor vetoing a funding appropriation bill for the office of a district attorney who he wanted to resign over an arrest for drunk driving.

Sounds like an obvious abuse of power to me. How could Rick Perry do that to Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg? Obviously, he only wanted her to resign because she’s a Democrat.

Perry’s abuse of a public servant will not be forgotten. Nor should it be forgotten.

This is all on your head, Rick.

Shame on Rick Perry and his supporters. She was not drunk. This is silly. And it’s y’all’s problem.

Hang in there, DA Lehmberg. Have a drink on me. Then another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. And another. Then get in your car.
