In response to a question about his hiring foreign workers over Americans to staff his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, billionaire businessman Donald Trump claimed it is “impossible” to find Americans willing to take the jobs.

The jobs are seasonal, “from October till March,” according to Trump. “It’s almost impossible to get help,” Trump told CNN in a post-debate interview Thursday night.

The New York Times reported nearly 300 American citizens applied for those seasonal jobs since 2010, only 17 being hired. The remaining positions. “In all but a handful of cases, Mar-a-Lago sought to fill the jobs with hundreds of foreign guest workers from Romania and other countries,” the Times reported.

When asked about this on CNN, Trump claimed he simply can’t find Americans willing to work because, “It’s almost impossible to get help.”

“And part of the reason you can’t get, you know, American people, they want full-time jobs. This is a four month, five month job. They want long-term jobs, they don’t want this,” Trump said.
