Donald Trump Wins Massachusetts Republican Primary

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump won Massachusetts with 44.7 percent, Ohio Gov. John Kasich came in second with 19.8 percent and Florida Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore] netted third with 18.8 percent as of 8:30 p.m. on Super Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.

Republicans had 42 delegates up for grabs in The Bay State, which are allocated proportionally.

The billionaire was expected to win the state by a landslide, with the last poll by Emerson, conducted from Feb. 26-28, showing him 31 points ahead of Rubio (20 percent), Kasich (14 percent) and Cruz (11 percent). The Real Clear Politics average had Clinton just 6.8 percent of Sanders ahead of the primary.

Polls opened at 7:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m.
