Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan publicly praised Donald Trump for not accepting money from the “Jewish community” while speaking at a Chicago mosque Monday.

According to The Hill, Farrakhan claimed Trump “is the only member who has stood in front of [the] Jewish community and said, ‘I don’t want your money.'”

“Anytime a man can say to those who control the politics of America, ‘I don’t want your money,’ that means you can’t control me,” he added. “And they cannot afford to give up control of the presidents of the United States.”

Farrakhan stopped short of formally endorsing Trump but did state, “I like what I’m looking at.”

This isn’t the first time Farrakhan has had kind things to say about the Republican front-runner. Back in January, Farrakhan sympathized with Trump’s proposed moratorium on Muslim immigration. (RELATED: Farrakhan Supports Trump On Muslim Immigrant Ban)

“In this way, Mr. Trump I think is wise to [vet] anyone coming from that area into America because the hatred for America is in the streets now,” he told radio host Alex Jones. “Now, if you let them in and you don’t [vet] them carefully, you might be letting in your own destruction.”
