US Special Ops Captures First ISIS Fighter

U.S. Army Delta Force fighters have captured a high-value ISIS operative in northern Iraq Tuesday. This is the first member of the organization detained in the fight against the terrorist group.

The Pentagon’s expeditionary force will be conducting raids throughout the upcoming weeks to capture or kill ISIS suspects, The New York Times reports.

According to U.S officials, the detained ISIS fighter is currently being interrogated by American officials and will soon be turned over to Iraqi officials.

It was reported Monday that that Delta Force soldiers would begin conducting operations in Iraq and Syria, teaming up with local forces to target high level Islamic State militants.
