New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told reporters Thursday that despite media speculation he was not being held hostage by Donald Trump during the real estate developer’s Super Tuesday victory speech.

“All these, like, armchair psychiatrists should give it a break,” said Christie at a Trenton, N.J. press conference, The Hill reports.

Following Trump’s speech Tuesday many online joked that Christie was held against his will and even MSNBC ran with a chyron Wednesday featuring the hashtag #FreeChrisChristie.

He continued, “He gave a press conference! It wasn’t the kind of circumstance where I would be jumping up and down cheering and smiling.”
